Sunday Nights

During the summer months, 1st Students has been having our (not so) usual programming on Sunday nights as opposed to Wednesday nights. This big change has led to far more students being able to attend, more time to fellowship, and enhanced discipleship opportunities. Even though summer is usually a slow time for youth groups, our Sunday nights have thrived!

As a result, we have prayerfully decided to KEEP youth group on Sunday nights. We believe that the school year will only emphasize the benefits even more. Hopefully, there will also be some additional Wednesday night opportunities for students to connect. More soon on that. As always, let Pastor Jonah know if you have any questions!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Corn Maze – This FRIDAY

We have decided, in the interest of including more students, in changing the date of the Corn Maze trip to THIS FRIDAY – Oct. 16th.

This year, to celebrate the cooler weather, 1st Students will be heading to the corn maze! This is a fun time for us to connect with one another and build community.

We’ll be carpooling together to Sleepy Hallow Farm on October 16th.

We’ll meet at 4PM at the church to carpool. Parents, you can pick up your students at 7:30PM.

Cost is $15. Register below!

Keep in mind, you may also want some money for concessions.

Youth and Young Adult Bible Study

During the Bible study hour on Wednesday nights (6PM-7PM), we have started up a brand new youth & young adult bible study. This is a robust class-style group where we’ll be seeking to answer your student’s deepest questions about the Bible, faith, and the church. This group has already started, and we’ve begin by tackling the Epistle of James. Plan to be a part, you won’t want to miss a week!

Fields of Faith

Fields of Faith is a local FCA event that allows our students to make gospel connections with other students in our area.

October 21st 7:00PM

Paulding County High School

Anchored is a brand new student conference available to all middle and high school students. This, as opposed to DNOW, is designed for Christians who are interested in learning more about what we believe and why. This inaugural year is focused on the doctrine of the Word. Can we trust the Bible? Where did it come from? Does it make mistakes? These are the kinds of questions we will be answering.
