First Baptist – School Partnership Programs
Giving back and supporting our community is one of our top priorities here at First Baptist in Dallas. We provide support to many local schools to assist in their student’s needs. One of the ways we give back to our community is by partnering with local schools with their backpack program. This program puts food in the hands of students in need each week! We also take up monthly donations as needed from our congregation to provide supplies to our school partners. These supplies, such as school supplies and tissues, go straight into the hands of our county educations and students.
Our current school partnerships:
– Northside Elementary School: Backpack program, providing food to be sent home each week. Monthly donation drives to provide resources like school supplies & tissues at the request of school staff.
– Dallas Elementary School: Snack Bag program. While most students in need qualify for free lunch, there are many who don’t arrive to school in time to eat breakfast or who do not have snacks provided from home. The Snack Bag program provides each teacher with a bag of breakfast and snack items that they can give to students in need throughout the day.
– Hutchins Elementary School: Backpack program, providing food to be sent home each week.
– East Paulding Middle School: Backpack program, providing food to be sent home each week.
