As a young teenager, he moved with his family from Northern California to a small town in the middle of the Delta South. God began to reveal to Danny that he knew about God but didn’t know Jesus as his Lord, and at the age of 14, he accepted Christ as his Savior. A few years later, Danny felt called to preach and surrendered to ministry when he was 17. Over the past 28 years, Danny has actively served churches in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia. Danny has been married to his best friend Katie for 28 years. Together, they have a daughter, Rebekah, who is a music teacher in California, and Andrew, who is attending Samford University, studying commercial music. Recently, they had the addition of Smith Leithart as our Son-In-Law and their first grandchild. They have lived in Georgia since 2007 and are happy to be able to call it home. Danny received his B.A. in Biblical Studies from Blue Mountain College and later his Master of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Danny enjoys listening to and playing music, woodworking, spending time in his yard, and playing golf, but most of all spending time with family and friends. |

![]() Adam Morris Assoc. Pastor to Children & Families: ext. 301 children@fbcdallas.com | Adam grew up in a large, tight-knit family in Colorado as the sixth-born of nine children. It was in that environment, shaped by the faith of his parents and a love for the church, that he first came to faith. During a Vacation Bible School as a child, he committed his life to Christ and was baptized shortly thereafter. His experiences in his church’s children’s and student ministries, along with the guidance of his youth pastor, were significant influences on his call to ministry in the local church. Adam pursued his education at the University of Mobile where he studied theology. He later went on to study at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and earned his Master’s degree. He met Nicole while they were both students at UM through a school-sponsored mission trip his senior year. They got married two years later. Adam and Nicole are the proud parents of Jude, Zoë, and Lydia. Along with the lessons that typically come with raising children, they have come to understand the unique journeys of family impacted by disability through the blessing of raising a child with Down syndrome. Adam’s greatest passions in family ministry are helping families on similar journeys find their place in the local church and helping the church know how to best welcome them in. Nicole has been a nurse in the hospital setting for 11 years. She recently transitioned to working as a school nurse. Together, Adam and Nicole are committed to raising their children to know Jesus and to love his people and the world around them through the ministry of the local church community. In his free time, Adam enjoys reading, writing, staying physically active, and spending time with his family. He looks forward to the opportunity to serve alongside this congregation and help foster a loving, supportive environment for children and families to grow in faith. |
![]() Jonah Saylers Assoc. Pastor to Students & Families: ext. 206 Students@fbcdallas.com | Pastor Jonah has spent his life immersed in the local church. Jonah grew up learning the tenants of the faith and discovering the love of God. He made the decision to surrender his life to Christ at age six and was baptized when he was seven. The church quickly became a refuge for Jonah to learn and grow into what God had planned for him. As a teen, Jonah began to receive God’s calling on his life – a calling to equip the saints for the work of ministry. Since, Jonah has accumulated almost a decade of ministry experience doing everything from cleaning toilets to leading mission trips. Jonah is a passionate leader with an ambition to see the youth of our community surrender their lives in full devotion to Christ and his Kingdom. Students are the church of today, and Pastor Jonah endeavors to see each of them step into their God-given identity. Jonah will soon complete his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Ministry Leadership from Toccoa Falls College and will shortly thereafter pursue his Master’s. In his free time, Jonah enjoys reading, running, lifting, and drinking coffee. Born and raised in Georgia, he and his wife Jessica have been married since 2016, and they love to call Dallas home. |
